Hip Hop Slighted At Grammys-Again!
May I be the first to say f!@# whoever made television decisions for the Grammy Awards. I, like millions of other hip hop fans tuned into the most prestigious award show in the music business only to be disappointed by the lack of hip hop awards shown on t.v.
While artists like Zac Brown Band (who?) and Stephen Colbert (who shares my government name) were presented awards on t.v., the hip hop awards were not shown on television.
Fabolous shared my opinion as well and responded on Twitter:
“Why don’t the hip-hop/rap categories get televised?? We are a big part of music 2day, even in mainstream America.”
If The Grammy Awards are supposed to recognize the best and brightest music has to offer, why are it’s brightest still not being shown?
